6 OCTOBER - THE D-LISH DIVISION 3 - SALHOUSE ROVERS 2 - 2 WENSUM WANDERERS

Wensum Wanderers started this game well and open the scoring through George Duffield, slotting the ball past the keeper into the bottom corner.

Both teams where having chances, but Wensum’s Josh Blower made it two for the visitors, confusion in the Salhouse box which led to a simple tap in. Salhouse had a big call for a penalty but despite the protests, no penalty was given.

Salhouse grew into the game and had a much better second half, with 65 minutes on the clock a corner was taken, Emerson Johanink with a towering header at the back post.  Salhouse equalised from the spot, very well taken penalty from Jon Coles.

The draw was a fair reflection on the game with both teams sharing the spoils today. Man of the Match was Wensum’s midfield maestro Lewis Stuman, controlled the midfield, broke up play and very comfortable on the ball.
